Open house on Fort Sheridan plans

A public open house regarding a master plan for the Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve is set for 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, at the Midwest Young Artist Center, 878 Lyster Road, Highwood. The Center is located within the Town of Fort Sheridan. Forest district planners are working toward completion of a master plan for Fort Sheridan that will determine future preserve amenities and activities, and potential natural resource restoration efforts. Two proposed concept plans that explore a range of ideas for potential restoration and preserve improvements will be available for viewing and public comment at the open house.
