Pacholski powers Libertyville

Danielle Pacholski scored twice to lead Libertyville's girls soccer team to a 5-0 win over New Trier on Thursday.

Libertyville (2-0), which led 4-0 at halftime, also got goals from Maddie Olson, Gabby Struik and Annie Thompson. Taylor Underwood, Emily Olson and Julia Neiweem contributed assists.

Laura Janousek earned her first shutout of the season.

New Trier 4, Stevenson 0: Hannah Petrich had 10 saves in goal for the Patriots, who missed a pair of breakaways.

"Played well," Stevenson coach Kevin Heffernan said. "Improving every game. Proud of our team. This team has great camaraderie."
