Round Lake falls to Johnsburg

Despite home runs from Kylie Bart and Katie Bleim, Round Lake's softball team suffered a 13-10 loss to visiting Johnsburg in its season opener Thursday.

The nonconference game marked the debut for Patrick DeDina as head coach for the Panthers.

Amanda Olsen went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI for Round Lake. Bleim (3 RBI), Ashley Wegner (double), Hayley Steinberg and Mike Crisantos each had 2 hits for the Panthers.
