Have coffee, meet Gurnee mayor:

Gurnee Mayor Kristina Kovarik will host a coffee session with residents from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 21. Her Coffee With the Mayor program will be at Ooh La La Boutique & Spa, 726 S. Milwaukee Ave. Residents are afforded an opportunity to meet the mayor and discuss issues, ask questions, raise concerns or provide suggestions. Coffee With the Mayor is held every month except April, August and September. It also will rotate among a variety of businesses, not just coffee shops. Kovarik launched Coffee With the Mayor in 2007 in an effort to meet with residents informally away from village board meetings or other official events.
