St. Edward softball opens with tie
St. Edward opened the softball season Monday with a 6-6 tie in eight innings at Chicago Christian in a Metro Suburban crossover game called due to darkness.
Junior Lindsay Zdroik went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for the Green Wave. She also pitched the complete game, allowing 10 hits with 14 strikeouts and 3 walks. She allowed 3 earned runs.
Also contributing to the offense for St. Edward were Devyn Ernst (3-for-4, RBI), Allie Stratman (2-for-4, HR, 2B, 3 RBI), Ryann Scully (2-for-4, 3B) and Shannon McShane (RBI).
