Girl Scouts succeed with 'Cookies on Tap'

Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois' first "Cookies on Tap" fundraising event on March 10 was a success with more than 40 guests enjoying an informative and unique cookie and beer pairing presentation by brew master Anthony Carollo.

The adult-only event, hosted at The Lucky Monk in South Barrington, featured beer, Girl Scout Cookies, unlimited appetizers, door prizes, and the pairing presentation.

Each beer was hand-picked to perfectly compliment the flavors of certain Girl Scout Cookies, including Samoas, Do-si-dos, Tagalongs, Trefoils and the most popular Girl Scout Cookie - Thin Mints.

Proceeds from the event will benefit area girls by providing membership assistance and supporting Girl Scout programs that help girls develop skills for the future through the Girl Scout leadership experience.
