Former WVU QB Trickett heads into coaching
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Former West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett is entering the coaching ranks.
Trickett has been hired as quarterbacks coach at East Mississippi Community College, which has won back-to-back national junior college championships.
Trickett retired two days before the Mountaineers played in the Liberty Bowl in December because of five concussions over a 14-month period.
Trickett is the son of Florida State offensive line coach Rick Trickett. He began his college career with Florida State before transferring to West Virginia, where he played two seasons. Trickett was born in Starkville while his father was coaching at Mississippi State.
