Elgin Twp. Republicans to host "Meet Your GOP Candidates" spaghetti dinner fundraiser

The Elgin Township Republican Central Committee will host a grassroots spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Monday, March 16, where citizens can meet Elgin candidates in a relaxed setting.

"This event is a great opportunity for grassroots Republicans to meet their candidates for local office before the April 7th election," said Jeff Meyer, chairman of the Elgin Township Republicans. "Busy families can stop by, grab some spaghetti and talk with their local GOP candidates in a relaxed atmosphere."

It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 16, at the Elgin American Legion Post 57, 820 N. Liberty St.

Local candidates for Elgin mayor, Elgin city council, and Elgin Community College board of trustees will attend. Cost per person will be $10 at the door, and all proceeds will benefit the Elgin Township Republican Central Committee.
