St. Patrick ousts Wauconda

St. Patrick 54, Wauconda 24: At Johnsburg, the No. 3 seed jumped out to an 18-8 lead after one quarter and was up 29-13 at halftime of the Class 3A regional final.

St. Patrick still led 37-22 after three and then outscored No. 6 Wauconda 17-2 in the fourth.

Ben Carlson had 10 points and 5 rebounds for Wauconda, which finishes its season with a 15-13 record. Zac Lahrman added 7 points for the Bulldogs.
