Naturalists to lead program at Bliss Woods
Bliss Woods would not be the beautiful forest preserve it is today, were it not for glaciers, Blackberry Creek, oaks, maples, fire and humans, both past and present.
Explore and discover how these diverse elements and many others tie together to tell the story of this charming sector of southwestern Kane County on Sunday, March 8.
Site steward Mary Ochsenschlager and other area naturalists will lead this program from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve, 5S660 Bliss Road, Sugar Grove.
Learn from the Experts programs are taught by experts in their respective fields and offer in-depth learning opportunities about local ecology. The programs are offered through a partnership with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, and St. Charles and Geneva park districts.
Advance registration is required. This program is for adults, age 18 and older, and has a registration fee of $10. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
