Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.The village portion of a tax bill is very small. The majority of the bill goes towards schools, library etc. Probably too high but that is the system we are under.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?We are fortunate to have excellent police and fire depts. Very professional and run well.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?A few years ago we had to trim all budgets and have learned to live leaner. I believe we have done a good job maintaining a balanced. budget and have helped our businesses survive and grow.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?We have a very vibrant downtown which is one of the reasons people move to Libertyville. For the downtown to remain successful we need to make sure we have adequate parking for future growth.
