I've served on the Human Resource and Finance committees assisting the current Mayor and Mayor Jean McCue in improving cost savings with efforts for residents.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.As I walked and had conversations with residents they brought it to my attention that our taxes are too high based on the income bracket of our residents. I have to agree with the residents.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Our rate efficiency for coverage is sufficient for both fire and police. I believe we need to add more funding to our Public Works Department and Downtown revitalization.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I believe we could save money in the budget with law enforcement. Public Works and Downtown revitalization would be a targeted area for upgrade and concentration.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?A dedicated team of excited persons to devout time and energy to improve Downtown Round Lake Park. Creating a place to eat, walk, shop and spend time relaxing.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Making sure we continue to attract families seeking to purchase homes and raise their children. I moved here because my neighborhood was quaint and quiet.
