Lake County Fairgrounds hosts the Northern Illinois Boat Show
One of the most popular boating shows in the suburbs, at least on dry land, drew dealers representing more than 30 businesses and other groups to the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake Saturday.
Hundreds of new and used vessels were on display - and for sale - at the indoors exhibition. There were models for the daredevil (speed boat), family (pontoon boat) and angler (fishing boat).
The four-day Northern Illinois Boat Show continues through Sunday, providing visitors the opportunity to start their summer boating plans.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and veterans and free for kids under 12. For more information, visit Illinoisboatshow.com.
