Walker better off not responding

In response to Richard Cohen's article on Scott Walker wavering on a question of principle: First, Mr. Cohen compares evolution to gravity. Then, he states evolution as the basis of all the biological sciences.

Scott Walker was smart to stay out of the conversation, because intelligent men like Mr. Cohen think we evolved from an amoeba to an ape to a man. Who's the ignoramus here?

There are plenty of scientists and people who believe evolution occurs only within a species (Mendel's Law), and scientists and people who think we evolved from apes are stating so at Mr. Cohen's own accusation of being an "ignoramus."
