Grayslake North falls short
Crystal Lake South 54, Grayslake North 40: The visiting Knights dropped their Fox Valley Conference crossover to conclude the regular season with a 16-10 record.
Lucas Buckels and Aidan Einloth scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Grayslake North, which opens the state tournament Monday in the Class 4A Fremd regional. The 10th-seeded Knights will play No. 23 Grant at 7:30 p.m. in Palatine.
