Free movie March 4 at Colby Barn in Grayslake

Liberty Prairie Foundation, Conserve and other partners are sponsoring a free showing of the film "Symphony of the Soil" next week at Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake's Prairie Crossing subdivision.

The screening of the film will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the barn, 1561 Jones Point Road.

The movie explores the complexity and mystery of soil, and attempts to support the case for treating soil with care. It portrays soil as a protagonist of our planetary story, and includes voices of some of the world's most esteemed soil scientists, farmers, and activists plus gripping film footage from four continents.
