Kings center DeMarcus Cousins doubtful to play against Spurs
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The Sacramento Kings say center DeMarcus Cousins is doubtful to play against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night because of a sprained left ankle and bruised left hip.
Cousins limped to half court and fell down after turning his ankle in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's 102-90 win over Memphis. He stayed in the game and showed no effects of the injury.
Sacramento has struggled mightily without its franchise big man. The Kings are 2-10 when Cousins sits out.
In the addition, the Kings will be without point guard Darren Collison for the eighth straight game. The team said Collison is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday to repair a "core muscle injury" and will be re-evaluated in three to six weeks.
