Glasford man facing felony charges for threatening judge

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - A 44-year-old Glasford man is facing felony charges after allegedly sending a video featuring a dead coyote to a judge.

Jason E. Cohee was charged Monday with two counts of threatening a public official. The charges accuse him of threatening Circuit Judge Jodi Hoos and her dog.

On Jan. 3, Cohee allegedly gave Hoos a package of adult diapers, a gift card to a lingerie store and a video recording of himself and a dead coyote. He also allegedly threatened to feed Hoos to a snake in an email sent last week to the sheriff's office.

Hoos was a former prosecutor in the Peoria County State's Attorney's Office. The (Peoria) Journal Star (http://bit.ly/1BYRAht ) reports she hasn't presided over any cases involving Cohee, but he apparently hunted on land near her property.

It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney yet.
