Clinton man, 52, dies in house fire
CLINTON, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say a 52-year-old Clinton man was killed in a house fire over the weekend.
First responders found Scott R. Miller lying on the floor in a smoky room when they arrived at the home Sunday afternoon. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Clinton Fire Chief Shawn Milton tells The (Bloomington) Pantagraph (http://bit.ly/1wful19 ) there wasn't a battery in the home's smoke detector.
DeWitt County Coroner Randy Rice says an autopsy will be performed on Miller.
It's still unclear what caused the fire.
