Believe Project: $100 to daughter, a music therapist for people in hospice

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Craig Johnson of Palatine.

Here is an excerpt of his pitch:

"Our eldest daughter, Amber, is a Board Certified Music Therapist who works in hospice. Her daily routine brings her to homes and assisted living facilities all over the Chicago area.

"Her job brings tears of joy, healing and hope to those with whom she comes in contact. She sings at her patients' funerals at the request of the deceased family. She receives no pay for this and any compensation must be turned over to her employer. She put 60,000 miles on her car last year and needed new tires last week. Her furnace died last month and needed to be replaced.

"With all the good she does for others she never asks anyone to help her. This is my way of say thank you for being such a wonderful person."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
