Diabetes screenings in Hanover Park March 19

Hanover Township's health department will provide diabetes screenings Thursday, March 19, in Hanover Park.

No appointments are needed for the screenings from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Illinois Welcoming Center, run out of the Christ Presbyterian Church, 6900 Barrington Road. You don't have to fast beforehand, either.

If untreated, diabetes can cause serious complications like kidney disease, heart disease and stroke, organizers say. For details, call (847) 313-1912
