New Long Grove location for 'Red' art show

The "Something About the Color Red" Invitational Art Show has been warmly welcomed by Chip and Mary Ann to the lower level "Speakeasy" at the Historic Village Tavern in Long Grove, 135 Old McHenry Road. This family owned business has been a favorite "watering hole" since 1848, the oldest Restaurant & Tavern in Illinois.

Artists of all ages will be displaying their art, inspired by that intriguing color red. The American Heart Association will receive a donation from each artist entry fee and any public free will donations.

The public is invited to the Opening Artists Reception hosted by the Long Grove Arts & Music Council & The Artists Guild from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 21.

Guests are invited to vote for People's Choice Awards for the various age categories.

The exhibit will run for three weekends: Feb 21-22, Feb 28-March 1, and March 7-8. The Art Show weekend hours are noon to 5 p.m. For information, contact (847) 438-1160 or elizabeth_roth@att.net.
