Look at what Rauner is saving the state

At least three times recently, you have printed letters from readers in Arlington Heights, Geneva and Hampshire which whine and moan about Gov. Rauner paying his senior staff more than the hapless Pat Quinn paid his. Conveniently none of the writers bothered to mention the fact that Mr. Rauner has pledged to work for $1 per year, thus, according to one source, saving the taxpayers of Illinois $177,000 annually.

$177,000! Wow, no wonder Pat Quinn was so upset about losing the election.

On a related matter, it has also been reported that Mr. and Mrs. Rauner intend to spend some of their own money to renovate the governor's mansion in Springfield.
