PSG throws away 2-0 lead in 2-2 home draw with Caen

PARIS (AP) - Paris Saint-Germain's lack of composure was exposed again as the French league defending champion conceded two late goals in a 2-2 home draw with Caen on Saturday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave PSG the ideal start with a goal after two minutes, and received a yellow card for removing his shirt as he celebrated.

Winger Ezequiel Lavezzi made it 2-0 shortly before halftime as PSG appeared to be coasting to a confidence-boosting win before Tuesday's home game against Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League.

But PSG has slipped to surprise defeats against minnows such as Bastia and Guingamp, and poor defending crept in again as Emiliano Sala pulled a goal back in the 89th and strike partner Herve Bazile struck in injury time.

Lyon can move four points clear of PSG and Marseille - which drew 2-2 on Friday night - if it wins away at Lorient on Sunday.

However, there were at least mitigating circumstances this time, with PSG coach Laurent Blanc losing four players to injury and playing the last 10 minutes with nine players.

The problems just keep piling up for Blanc, who now finds himself under increasing pressure and with mounting injury problems.

Chelsea, by contrast, has had a full week to prepare for PSG since it is not involved in FA Cup action this weekend.

Midfielder Yohan Cabaye limped off after 15 minutes; Brazilian center half Marquinhos went off clutching his thigh right at the start of the second half and was replaced by David Luiz.

Right back Serge Aurier hurt himself in the 70th as he attempted a pass and was taken off on a stretcher, meaning PSG was down to 10 men because Blanc had already made his three substitutions.

PSG played the last 10 minutes with nine players with Brazil winger Lucas also going off.

Caen took full advantage.

Sala got the visitors back in the game when he latched onto a headed flick from defender Dennis Appiah and scored with an angled drive.

Then, two minutes into injury time, Bazile cut into the left of the penalty area and beat goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu with a powerful shot into the top right corner.

Things had started so well for PSG, which had won seven of its eight previous matches in all competitions - and drew the other against Lyon.

Cabaye released Aurier down the right and his cross was finished powerfully by Ibrahimovic for his 11th league goal of the season.

Ibrahimovic and Lucas then set up Lavezzi, who broke into the penalty area from the left and scored with a low shot in the 40th.

Lavezzi missed a great chance to make 3-0 in the 60th, when his header was saved by Caen goalkeeper Remy Vercoutre.

Later Saturday, it's Lens vs. Evian; Lille vs. Nice; Monaco vs. Montpellier; Nantes vs. Bastia; and Toulouse vs. Rennes.

In Sunday's other games, Bordeaux hosts Saint-Etienne and last-place Metz faces Guingamp.
