Woman pulled from burning Hampshire apartment dies from injuries

A Hampshire woman who suffered serious injuries when fire broke out in her apartment has died.

Georgia Hartman, 67, was pronounced dead at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, a spokesman from the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

Hartman was pulled from a burning building at 206 S. State St. after firefighters responded to reports of a blaze at 10:17 p.m. Friday night.

The two-story building houses offices belonging to the Fenzel Motor Sales dealership, as well as second-floor apartments.

Two firefighters also were injured in the blaze.
