'Lion King' roars back to Chicago
Disney's global juggernaut "The Lion King" returns to Chicago for a seven-week run at the Cadillac Palace Theatre starting Wednesday, Dec. 2.
This will mark the fourth Windy City visit of the six-time Tony Award-winning musical following engagements in 2003, 2005 and 2010. Inspired by Disney's hit 1994 animated film, "The Lion King" debuted in 1997 and has become the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history and is the first New York production to have grossed more than a billion dollars. Productions of "The Lion King" have played in 19 countries and on every continent except Antarctica.
