Glenbard South 61, St. Edward 52: Despite leading at the half, the Green Wave (20-4, 8-2) had trouble offensively late and fell for just the second time in Metro Suburban West play on the road. Danny Favela led the way with 13 points while Kelvin Cortez-Harvey added another 11. Joe French and Gino Domel each finished with 9 points. Nick Duffy scored 8 points for St. Edward and is now just 13 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
Harvest Christian 49, Kirkland-Hiawatha 30: Thanks in part to a big 20-point outburst in the third quarter, the Lions (14-12, 5-5) cruised to an easy win and got back to .500 in Northeastern Athletic Conference play. Noah Fox led the offense with 18 points, while Austin White followed with 11 for the night.
Westminster Christian 54, Hinckley-Big Rock 41: Sam Carani finished with 16 points for the game and the Warriors (18-6) went 9-of-10 from the free throw line down the stretch to hold off the Royals in nonconference action. Robert Kleczynski ended the night with 11 points for Westminster.
Cary-Grove 68, Mundelein 46: Scoring 30 points in the first quarter, and taking a 30-point lead into halftime, the Trojans (13-9) dominated early and often to secure another nonconference victory and are on a 5-game winning streak. Jason Gregoire led all scorers with 16 points despite playing in just the first half while Danny Schmidt added 11. Justin Blair also chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
