Michigan governor working from hospital room, resting

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder worked from a hospital room over the weekend and rested after doctors discovered a blood clot in his right leg related to an Achilles tendon injury he suffered a month ago.

Snyder's spokeswoman, Sara Wurfel, says in an email Monday morning that "all signs are still good" for the 56-year-old Republican governor.

Snyder was admitted to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital near his Ann Arbor home on Thursday after noticing swelling in his leg.

Wurfel says Snyder participated Sunday in a conference call on the budget proposal he's set to unveil to lawmakers this week. She says doctors will reevaluate him Monday.

Snyder tore his Achilles tendon while jogging in Florida when he was on vacation. He's been in a protective boot and using a scooter.
