Anthony sitting out Knicks' game vs Warriors to rest
NEW YORK (AP) - Carmelo Anthony is sitting out the Knicks' game against Golden State to rest on the second night of back-to-back games.
The Knicks' scoring leader has dealt with left knee pain much of the season. He played 37 minutes Friday night in a loss at Brooklyn, shooting just 6 for 23 and scoring 21 points.
Knicks coach Derek Fisher says Saturday the team likely will continue to evaluate Anthony every time they play on consecutive nights to see if he feels good enough to play.
Amare Stoudemire is playing for the Knicks after returning Friday from a four-game absence with a sprained left ankle.
