Creators of Abraham Lincoln museum to mark 10th anniversary
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Some of the people who helped make the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum a reality are returning to help celebrate its 10th anniversary.
A series of five events titled "Evening with the Creators" is planned throughout 2015, with the first scheduled for Feb. 26.
Among those scheduled to speak at the first event are community leaders who pressed state and federal legislators to back the idea for a museum and library.
The team that made the Springfield museum's 46 life-like statues will discuss their work in June.
And in September the guest will be David Kneupper, the award-winning composer and sound designer who produced music for the museum.
