Police seek driver who took pictures of girls

Downers Grove police said Thursday they are looking for a man who they say stopped his car and snapped pictures of two girls playing in a front yard.

Authorities said man was driving by in a minivan about 4:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 35th Street and Highland Avenue.

"There was no contact made between the girls and the driver, and it was unknown what the driver's intentions were," police said in a news release.

The driver was described as a white man in his 20s or early 30s, driving an older model white Toyota minivan with black rims and a black luggage carrier.

Patrols have been stepped up at parks and schools, police said.
