New youth leader joins Bartlett church

Immanuel United Church of Christ in Bartlett recently welcomed April Sylvester as the new youth leader. She will be welcomed into the congregation at the 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday, Feb. 8.

The Boy Scout Troop 26 Pancake Breakfast will follow the service. Afterward, she will meet with the seventh- to 12th-grade youth.

Sylvester, who grew up in Georgia, is a recent graduate of Wheaton College. She has a bachelor of arts in cultural anthropology with certificates in Christian Education Youth Ministry and Human Needs and Global Resources. Her accomplishments include internships in community development in Zambia, and youth ministry in Gerrards Cross, a suburb of London, England.

Immanuel United Church of Christ, along with the Rev. Susan Tyrrel, minister, invite members, friends, and the community to join them in welcoming Sylvester to Bartlett.
