Woodland Intermediate spelling whizzes:

Two students at Woodland Intermediate School in Gurnee have advanced to a spelling bee sectional competition. Fifth-grader Hope Cabalfin and fourth-grader Evan Wong were tops at the recent intermediate building spelling derby, Woodland Elementary District 50 officials announced. Both students will represent their building at the sectional contest Feb. 17, at Woodland Middle School in Gurnee.
