Elk Grove Village
• Jerry Thornton, 22, of the 3800 block of West Fillmore, Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 p. m. Jan. 26 at his home and charged with theft. His court date is March 11.
• Burglars stole jewelry and a watch between Jan. 15 and 23 out of an apartment on the 900 block of Landmeier Road. Value was estimated at $6,700.
• Thieves stole a flatbed trailer and shipping container around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at 900 Lunt Ave. Value was estimated at $6,000.
• Vandals broke into a 2011 Ford E350 work van and a 2005 Chevrolet Astro van belonging to GHC Mechanical, 990 Pauly Drive, and cut the Ford's battery cables between noon Jan. 24 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 25.
• Burglars stole several power tools between 10 p.m. Jan. 28 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 29 out of an unlocked 2014 Dodge Ram van on the 1500 block of California Street.
• Burglars stole a power tool between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 15 out of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado in a hotel lot, 1000 Busse Road. Value was estimated at $3,847.
• Burglars stole a backpack containing a wallet, cash and bottle of cologne between 1 and 8 a.m. Jan. 20 out of a 2002 Subaru Impreza on the 200 block of Redwood Avenue. Value was estimated at $460.
Hanover Park
• Daniel Moncada, 32, of the 1000 block of Countryside, Hanover Park, was arrested at his home around 9:07 a.m. Feb. 4 and charged with local ordinance disorderly conduct.
• Thieves stole two nail guns valued at $500 around 10:38 a.m. Feb. 2 from Menards, 7435 Barrington Road.
Bartlett
• Vandals scattered nails and screws around 1 p.m. Jan. 23 on the driveway to the pump station on the 900 block of Stearns Road. Vandals also tossed nuts and screws on the driveway at the Village of Bartlett Lift Station on the 500 block of Devon Avenue Jan. 30.
• Thieves stole a snowboard valued at $150 around 9:25 p.m. Feb. 2 on the 1400 block of Lake Street.
Hoffman Estates
• Gabriel N. Sanchez, 41, of the 1300 block of Rebecca, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 8:06 a.m. Jan. 23 at his apartment and charged with felony endangering the life/health of a child. Reports said he left his toddler alone in the hallway outside his apartment for over an hour. A neighbor heard the child crying and phoned police. Officers arrested Sanchez when he returned home. His court date is Feb. 25.
• A male driver hurled something that dented the trunk on another vehicle around 3:10 p.m. Jan. 21 on Barrington Road near Golf Road. The offender got out of his car and kicked the rear driver's-side panel on the victim's car. The victim phoned police and was told to meet an officer at Barrington and Bode roads. The offender followed the victim as he drove there. The offender drove away while an officer was speaking to the victim.
