Sister Marianella Domenici, ex-principal of St. Mary's, dies
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Sister Marianella Domenici, the sister of former Republican Sen. Pete Domenici and the longtime principal of St. Mary's School in Albuquerque, has died.
The Immaculate Conception Church announced Domenici's death on its website on Thursday. She was 84.
Rev. Anthony Borrow, a former priest at Immaculate Conception, said the former principal died Wednesday night.
Marianella Domenici served as principal at the downtown private school for 23 years until her retirement in 2012.
She spent four decades as a teacher and administrator at schools in Colorado and Ohio before returning to Albuquerque in 1989.
