Man pleads guilty to molesting teen he met online

A 22-year-old Plainfield man pleaded guilty to sexually abusing an Arlington Heights teenager he met on a social networking site.
Andrew Sandoval was sentenced to 30 months probation after pleading guilty Monday and ordered to pay $1,149 in fines, court records show. Additionally, Sandoval must register as a sex offender.
Authorities say Sandoval met the girl, then 13, online in March 2014. He engaged in sexually explicit conversation and sent the girl sexually explicit photographs, prosecutors said.
According to prosecutors, Sandoval stayed overnight at the girl's home without her parents' knowledge.
