Evanston man dies in crash in Antioch Township

An Evanston man died Tuesday morning when his car collided with another vehicle on Route 173 west of Linden Lane in unincorporated Antioch Township.
A preliminary investigation indicates Anthony M. Guth, 67, was driving east when he crossed the centerline, went into the westbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Caleb J. Capodarco of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, according to a Lake County sheriff's office news release.
Capodarco and his passenger, 22-year-old Samuel P. Terrill of Kenosha, Wisconsin, were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with non-life-threatening injuries.
Guth was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Lake County sheriff's technical crash investigations team is investigating.
