Champaign couple don't miss Grammy 'party you can't refuse'

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Richard Martin and Meagan Hennessey never pass up a chance to attend the Grammy Awards - even if they're up for a "geek" award.

The Champaign couple is nominated for Best Historical Album and Best Liner Notes for their August release: "Isham Jones, Happy: The 1920 Rainbo Orchestra Sides."

The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1CW86gO ) the married couple have received 11 nominations for six reissues of historical music.

Their first Grammy was in 2006 for "Lost Sounds: Blacks and the Birth of the Recording Industry, 1891-1922."

They're traveling west to see the Sunday night spectacle. Martin says Grammy week is "a party you just can't refuse."

Their categories are announced during a Sunday afternoon event featuring more than 60 specialized or technical - "geek" - awards.
