WWII vets should take Honor Flight
WWII vets should take Honor Flight
I read with great interest the Daily Herald coverage of the World War II Honor Flights and the fundraising for them in DuPage County.
I can relate to it as my father and Uncle Arthur (32 years in the Navy/Rear Admiral) were both World War II veterans of whom I am justly proud. If possible, every World War II veteran should get to Washington before they pass.
Another reason I can relate is that I am a Vietnam Navy veteran and a member of Post 198 of the VFW Chicago. We have a 93-year-old World War II veteran in the post (Navy).
Again great coverage.
