Southern Illinois man gets 15 years for sex attack on child

JONESBORO, Ill. (AP) - A southern Illinois man has been ordered to spend 15 years in prison after admitting a sexual attack on a child.

WPSD-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1CWAOOD) that 48-year-old Bradley Wyant of Marion was sentenced Tuesday in Union County after pleading guilty to two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

The charges related to a child younger than 13 years old, and prosecutors say the sexual misconduct took place last year.

Wyant was charged and arrested in October.
