Bekke, longtime Star-Tribune publisher, leaving Casper

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Nathan Bekke, the longtime publisher of the Casper Star-Tribune, has accepted a job within Lee Enterprises at the company's corporate headquarters in Davenport, Iowa.

The Star-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/18It0oF ) the 45-year-old Bekke will be vice president of consumer sales and marketing for the media company. His last day at the Star-Tribune was Monday.

The search for Bekke's successor will begin immediately. Star-Tribune editor Jason Adrians will serve as interim publisher.

Bekke said that "it has been a blessing to serve as publisher of the Casper Star-Tribune for the last 11 years. Wyoming is a truly remarkable place."

Lee Enterprises owns 46 daily newspapers, including the Star-Tribune, and has a joint interest in four others. It provides digital products and produces nearly 300 specialty publications in 22 states.
