Dance teams compete in state championship preliminaries

Ninety dance squads entered the Illinois High School Association state meet on Friday - and 30 remain.

The finals will be Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.

According to tourneywire.com, these are the suburban squads that made the cut:

Class 1A: Aurora Central Catholic.

Class 2A: Geneva, Lakes, Libertyville, Vernon Hills, Crystal Lake Central, Wheaton St. Francis, Fenton.

Class 3A: Neuqua Valley, Lake Park, Lake Zurich, Barrington, Stevenson, Fremd, Mundelein, Glenbard North, Bartlett.
