Boys basketball / Lake County roundup

Mike Travlos scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, and Lake Zurich's boys basketball team defeated host Grant 72-41 in a North Suburban Conference crossover Friday night.

Nick Meyer added 11 points, while Nick Penny contributed 10 points and 7 assists for the Bears. Lake Zurich (18-6) also received 6 points and 8 rebounds from Tim Spears.

Grant received 9 points Ben Kusiak and 8 from Pierre Bailey.

Carmel 61, Nazareth 51: C.J. Duff poured in 21 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, as the visiting Corsairs won the East Suburban Catholic Conference game.

Shareif Bailey added 16 points for Carmel (10-12).
