Hoffman Estates Fire Dept: Cat Rescue

This story is to honor Hoffman Estates Firemen B. Raymond and D. Grobe.

Roxana McCarty was missing her beloved cat Julia for 4.5 days. She located her at 4:30 on Saturday underneath a neighbors cement patio. With a team of friends, neighbors, and the maintenance team they worked until midnight trying to rescue Julia. The rescue mission contined Sunday morning for several hours without success.

With the concern of Julia's health it was determined she needed further assistance through the Hoffman Estates fire department. Firefighters D. Grobe and B. Raymond worked for hours in the cold weather digging out the cat. With the help of the maintenance department they dismantled wood panels and used an air compressor to remove the cat. Julia is home safe and ate all her cat food.
