Davis tops UW's career scoring, Huskies over Colorado 85-82
SEATTLE (AP) - Jazmine Davis became Washington's career scoring leader Friday night and made a clutch 3-pointer in the final minute to help the Huskies beat Colorado 85-82.
Davis gave the Huskies (15-4, 4-3 Pac-12) an 81-77 lead with 49 seconds left on a 3 from the corner. She finished with 25 points, surpassing Jamie Redd (1995-99, 2,027 points) on a free throw with 13:32 left in the first half. Kelsey Plum added 23 points and Talia Walton scored 18.
Jen Reese made two free throws to pull Colorado (9-9, 2-5) within two with 27 seconds left. Plum answered with a pair of free throws, but Jamee Swan's 3-pointer cut the deficit to 83-82 with 13 seconds.
Davis and Kelli Kingma each made 1 of 2 free throws and Colorado's Jasmine Sborov missed a 3 in the final seconds.
Lexy Kresl scored 23 and Swan finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
