No indictments after fatal Elkhart police shooting
ELKHART, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana grand jury has not returned any indictments following a review of a fatal police shooting.
Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill says the six-member grand jury received the actions of seven Elkhart police officers Wednesday and chose not to indict any of them.
The Sept. 23 shooting left 32-year-old Joseph Lee of Goshen dead after officers say he say raised a gun toward them while trying to flee.
Indiana State Police submitted a report on the shooting to Hill in November.
