Free admission for students at Lincoln museum drawing to end

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - February will be the final month for school groups to visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield free of charge.

The museum began offering free entry to students in January.

Starting in March and running through May, admission will be $4. Regular admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children between the ages of 5 and 15.

The last month of free admission coincides with the month of Lincoln's birthday. The 16th U.S. president was born Feb. 12, 1809.

This year is the 150th anniversary of both the Civil War's end and Lincoln's death.
