Meridian Winter Blast in Detroit to feature new zip line

DETROIT (AP) - An annual downtown Detroit winter festival will feature a 300-foot zip line this year.

The Meridian Winter Blast presented by Quicken Loans is planned for Campus Martius Park on Feb. 6 to 8. The Bedrock Zip Line Adventure will make its debut at the event.

The popular Snow Slide attraction, sponsored by Meridian Health Plan, also is scheduled to return. It features a 200-foot ride.

It's the 11th year for Winter Blast festival.
