Dining events: Get to know truffles with PM Prime

Truffle exploration

Explore truffles at PM Prime Steakhouse with a six-course dinner with wine pairings beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 28. The culinary journey includes bay scallops, with sunchokes, beef tongue, and black truffle jus; white truffle tortellini with sagamon cheese, sweet breads and pine nuts; pheasant with celery root, cured egg yolk and black truffle sausage; Kobe beef with smoked potato, white truffle cream and black truffle tea; and an assortment of truffles or tapioca pudding for dessert. $225 per person.

Dining in the dark

Rely on aroma, touch and taste during Sullivan Steakhouse's aphrodisiac dinner at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. The special three-course meal - introduced blindfolded - may include hand-shucked oysters, pastrami-cured smoked salmon, king crab cocktail, duo of filet, pine nut-crusted salmon and warm banana nutella bread pudding. $69 per person. Add wine pairings for $25.

Zoup!'s new soup

Zoup! marks National Soup Month throughout January with two new soups: Chipotle Shrimp Bisque, a creamy tomato soup with shrimp, peppers, and vegetables; and Rattlesnake Stew, a hearty stew made with rabbit and rattlesnake sausage, peppers, brown rice and spices.
