Police seek suspects in robbery outside Arlington Heights Jewel

Police are searching for two suspects involved in a strong-armed robbery outside a Jewel Food Store in Arlington Heights Monday night.

Arlington Heights police Sgt. Greg Czernecki said the victim was standing at a Redbox video kiosk outside the food store on the 100 block of North Vail Avenue when a man snatched her purse at 8:57 p.m.

After taking the purse, Czernecki said the offender ran to and entered a dark-colored, four-door vehicle. He drove away with at least one other person in the car, Czernecki said.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery, Czernecki said, and no injuries were reported.

The offender is described to be about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build, Czernecki said. He was wearing a light-colored skull cap and a dark jacket.

Anyone with information should call the Arlington Heights Police Department at (847) 368-5300.
